I recently finished reading a book I would like to recommend. The book is titled Enrique's Journey. The author, Sonia Nazario, won a Pulitzer Prize for her reporting about the story of Enrique. He is a teenager from Honduras who decides to follow his mother to the United States after she left him to earn money so that they could have a better life in Honduras. Enrique's story is important because it is estimated that 40,00 children illegally immigrate into the United States every year searching for a parent who had previously immigrated without them. Enrique's story and Sonia's dialogue highlight the complexities behind the immigration debate that exist in our country today.
