Super Swedish Strawberry Summer Solstice Shindig

Explanation of the alliteration. During my first summer in Logan, I happened upon an informative article in my roommate's magazine. The article explained how one of the ways people in Sweden celebrate the first day of summer is by creating fabulous strawberry dishes. After sharing this article with my roomies, we decided to have our own summer party featuring yummy strawberry dishes. Ever since then, I have made an effort to celebrate the first day of summer by holding the annual Super Swedish Strawberry Summer Solstice Shindig, needless to say this is often referred to as The Shindig.

This year I decided to try an array of strawberry dishes. The day began with a strawberry smoothie, then strawberry muffins to snack on, a strawberry salad to accompany the BBQ chicken for dinner, and to top it off a fresh strawberry shake from Big J's for dessert. Everything was pretty tasty, and now I feel that summer as officially arrived!
